Strawberry Walnut Whole Wheat Bagels - 130 Calories Each

Incredible strawberry walnut whole wheat bagels. I was trying to re-create the flavor from the muesli rolls that I used to get when I was traveling in Europe. This flavor came very close.

Recipe/mix in a bowl:

1 cup of Whole wheat flour

1 cup of a cup of Fage nonfat Greek yogurt

2 teaspoons of baking powder.

13 grams of walnuts

2 chopped strawberries

Mix the contents very well and knead it with your hands. Fold in in the chopped strawberries and chopped walnuts. Then transfer to a surface where you could knead it some more. I use parchment paper sprinkled with flour.

Then divide the dough after kneading it well into four pieces. Make 4 balls with the dough and poke a hole in the center of each to make a bagel shape. Then brush on egg whites on the top. I used less than one egg white for all four of these bagels

On a nonstick pan, bake in the oven at 375 degrees for 20 to 23 minutes until done. Today I baked them for 23 minutes.

1 cup of Jovial whole wheat flour= 300 Calories

They tasted awesome. Definitely reminded me of the muesli rolls I loved so much

Great project for you to do with your children. So much fun!
