Breakfast Pita Tostada- 454 Calories

A breakfast pita tostada consisting of Joseph’s flax oat bran whole wheat pita, refried beans, corn, jalapeño peppers, tomatoes, avocados, white onion, Monterey Jack cheese, and topped with a fried egg. Before I ate this I drizzled 2 tablespoons of salsa Verde on top. Delicious!!

One day I didn’t have any tortillas so I decided to use the Joseph’s pita. It tasted amazing and was less calories than if I used to tortilla. I just toasted in the oven for six minutes at 400°.

1/2 cup of whole foods 365 brand fat free refried beans (thinned out with a little warm water = 100 calories.

1/4 Hass avocado = 80 calories.

1 egg = 70 Calories.

1/2 ounce of Monterey jack cheese = 51 Calories.

1/4 cup of corn = 31 Calories.

1/4 cup of onion = 16 Calories.

4 cherry tomatoes = 12 Calories.

2 tablespoons of salsa Verde = 10 Calories.

1/8 jalapeño = 1 calorie.
